My story begins in a sun-drenched California suburb, a world away from the bustling streets of my mother’s homeland, India. My dad, a proud American, instilled in me the value of hard work and the unwavering belief that the American Dream was within reach for anyone who dared to chase it. My mom, her eyes sparkling with the warmth of a thousand Bollywood films, nurtured in me a deep appreciation for our Indian heritage – the vibrant colors, the spicy aromas, the unyielding strength of family.
Growing up, I was a sponge, absorbing the best of both worlds. Weekends were spent watching cricket matches with my uncles, their voices booming with commentary, while the scent of my mom’s homemade curry filled the house. Weekdays were filled with American schoolyard antics, learning the magic of the internet, and devouring sci-fi novels that promised worlds beyond imagination.
I was a curious kid, always tinkering with things, taking apart electronics to see how they worked, and dreaming of building something truly extraordinary. My dad, who worked in the burgeoning tech industry, saw the spark in my eyes and encouraged it. He’d say, “Son, in America, you can be anything you want to be.
